01. Legend of the begining - Maphee.
It was done.
The Land had come together into the shape it would keep for many centuries. Underground currents and shifts created mountains that seemingly touched the sky on one side. Field upon dusty field, that spread over the large continent, until it met with the rockey shores of the salty waters on the other side.
The Land was proud of how large it had become. So proud that for many seasons, it laid there, barren, untouched. Though often The Land could feel The Water tickling it's edges it eventually grew curious about the life Water sustained, and realized how lonely it was without life of it's own to look after.
The Land invited The Water into it's depths, opening itself up. The Water was happy to share the life it had sustained, and as it gushed into The Land, it changed it's form into fresh water, which created many lakes connected by vast rivers, eventually leading back to it's original salty waters on the other side. The Land was overjoyed. It could feel life within it's depths, and for many seasons was satisfied. Though eventually The Land started to wonder With life in my depths, could I also sustain life on my surface?
The Land reached above to The Sky that danced at night, and posed the question. The Sky answered back. By taking some of The Water, The Sky could then spread it to places on The Land, otherwise untouched. With the water The Sky touched, life began to grow. Where previously dusty feilds were, shades of green began to sprout up. Forests so deep, the light could hardly penetrate it. Flowers every colour of the rainbow could be seen, as The Sky breathed it's own life into it.
The Land could hardly contain itself, it had been transformed into a stunning display of life. But The Sky was not done yet, and with a burst, set forth creatures that could live on the surface with all the plants. All sizes, and colours could be seen. This was more then The Land had asked for, and it hesitated with this gift. The Sky noticed the hesitation and sent forth Mahpee. Though he was smaller then most creatures living with The Land, he was The Sky's last gift. A watcher, and protector for The Land, and all who lived with it. He can communicate with both The Land and The Sky, and all the life The Sky helped to bring forth.
The Land, at last, felt whole.
